About the Artist
I am a Philadelphia-based artist exploring geometric forms through chipboard and acrylic shapes. My inspiration for these forms began in architecture school when I was studying how floor plates stack in high rise buildings.
I wanted to explore that idea in a purely geometric sense with thin chipboard, which is easy to work with, through standard geometric shapes. By stacking and twisting, I end up with sculptures that are dynamic in shape and appear organic and alive in nature.
The same shapes are also made in 1/8” acrylic triangles that are cemented together.
